Founder of Silverstone Designs Ltd., A company specialising in signage design and manufacture, audiovisual and print media. In his 26 years as CEO, Eoin developed the company through the research and adoption of new technologies. He has been first to market with many new innovations such as digital and interactive projections, multi-format print systems and the adoption of energy saving technologies.
His ability to recognise market trends enabled Eoin to position Silverstone as supplier of choice to global players in the advertising industry. Silverstone core business has been in the OOH advertising industry with the supply of illuminated signage from design-to-manufacture to on-site installation for clients such as JC Decaux, Clear Channel, Irish Rail, Diageo, Axa Insurance and Heineken.
John has over 30 years experience in senior management roles which include Sales & Marketing, R&D, Finance, Production, Supply-chain Management and Logistics, and in developing profitable technology based business into global markets.
He co-founded Nualight Ltd, in 2003, a company specialising in LED lighting for the retail display case applications. As Director of Engineering he developed a broad portfolio of innovative, patented and award winning LED luminaires and generated sales in Euro-Asia, North America and South Africa. Nualight is now considered market leader in retail LED lighting.
In 2009 John co-founded Save Energy 4 You Ltd. to address large area lighting applications. As Sales & Marketing Director John established a profitable lighting consultancy and sales/distribution company through direct/indirect sales and the establishment of sales channels internationally.
John graduated in Electronic Engineering, from DKIT, in 1987 and joined Tecpro Ltd. to develop software/hardware for automated electronic test equipment. His novel approach to product design and customer development saw his promotion to Engineering and Marketing Manager where he positioned Tecpro as the supplier of choice for the major global blue chip technology companies. His achievements included winning the contract to design and manufacture the test equipment for the global production of the original Microsoft Xbox games consoles; from a cold call.
Eamonn has over 35 years of experience in sales and sales management. Starting out his career as an Account Executive in the office equipment business, he has held key sales and sales management positions in a number of well-known companies.
In more recent times Eamonn focused on the Out Of Home (OOH) sector, as Sales Director for one of the largest suppliers of OOH displays based in Ireland, providing outdoor print production solutions in Irish and international markets. He dealt with major advertising companies, media specialists PML and Kinetic and media owners JCDecaux, Clear Channel and Exterion Media. Attention to detail, innovation and always putting the customer first are key elements to Eamonn’s success.
SALES DIRECTOR – MEDITERRANEAN
Son of a Publisher, Emanuele has always lived in the press and advertising world and has a great connection with this market internationally. After a brilliant career working his way up in Gruppo Mondadori, one of the largest Italian publishers, he became Advertising Sales Manager of a number of titles within the group. In 2000 he founded Link Media, a boutique media agency working with international clients looking to advertise in press, digital and Out of Home in the Italian Market. After a long external partnership with Solar AdTek, Emanuele now runs our office in Milan. With his in-depth knowledge of the industry Emanuele brings local, hands-on expertise to our growing client base within Italy and throughout the Mediterranean.
Stephen has spent the last 32 years working in the advertising sales industry. He began his career selling newspaper advertising, switched over to radio airtime sales and then moved into outdoor advertising. Through a series of operational, sales, contractual and commercial management roles, he has worked for well known industry companies such as Viacom, CBS Outdoor and Titan Outdoor. He has worked developing and selling advertising formats on bus, rail, tram, roadside, retail and the aviation sectors of the OOH industry.Stephen has extensive experience in setting up and managing advertising sales organisations in Ireland, the UK and European markets and in addition has acted as a consultant on franchise bids in the USA and Middle East.
Sean Melly (TCD 1981-1985: Business) following a Masters Degree in Finance (UCD 1986) spent 10 years in Banking in London & New York working for Citi & the investment vehicles of the Belzberg family and Dermot Desmond. Following this he became a telecoms entrepreneur establishing businesses in the US, Ireland (TCL Telecom acquired by Verizon) and Eastern Europe (eTel acquired by Telekom Austria). He is now Chairman of Powerscourt Investments, a Venture Capital & Private Equity boutique where he is a non-executive director and investor in a range of technology based high potential start-up and developing companies. He is Chairman of the Board of Trinity Business School, adjunct professor of Finance on the MBA Program, & board member of the Trinity Foundation.
